At CTC, we’re still talking about Musicals Week on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing which aired on Saturday 2nd December 2017. And now, we’ve heard that there are more musical numbers to look forward to on the final this Saturday. Jazz hands at the ready!
During musicals week our member, Michael, took over our Twitter account for #TwitterTakeover to give his views and comments on the programme as each dance was performed. We had a great response from our followers and those who were also watching and tweeting about the show.
Here is a quick timeline of tweets
As you can see – the scene was set and Michael was all prepared for an evening at home in front of the fire, what better way to watch the show.
Memory from Cats
When Debbie and Giovanni started their American Smooth to ‘Memory’ from Cats, this sparked some excitement with Michael and we were equally excited to see twitter account for Cats on Broadway liked our tweet!
We were the very first adult amateur group to be granted the license for this show from The Really Useful Group. Check out the show page for Cats the Musical.
The excitement continued with the announcement of Davood Ghadami’s Argentine Tango to The Phantom of the Opera.
Up next was Alexandra Burke and Gorka with ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ from Mary Poppins. This was not Michael’s favourite Charleston that he had seen on Strictly but followed up with saying that Alexandra is such a fantastic performer.
So, closing the Twitter Takeover with a tweet of Michael’s leaderboard for the evening:
Thanks for reading and so we’ll leave you with the opening number from musical weeks ‘Food, Glorious Food’ from Oliver! Don’t forget to follow us on twitter @CTCpresents #CTCpresents
