British Heart Foundation

Back in March we announced our British Heart Foundation charity campaign in memory of a dear friend and former member of CTC, Adrian Hackett.

Joining CTC in 1992 for our January 1993 production of West Side Story playing Diesel, a Jet. He then appeared in Hello, Dolly! in January 1994 then took the lead role of the Sheriff in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in May 1994, reprising the role in October 1999.

We were saddened to hear that Adrian lost his life to heart disease on 21st April 2017.  He died at the age of 52 from a sudden cardiac arrest due to an undiagnosed left ventricular hypertrophy.

As Adrian appeared in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas we thought it would be fitting to raise money and awareness during our 2018 production of the show in his honour and raised a whopping

£1,125.80.

Members of the cast took part in a sponsored 10k run or 5k walk, got their baking on at home and sold cakes at a coffee evening and our generous audiences emptied their pockets at the end of each performance as they left the theatre.

Our thanks and appreciation to everyone involved in making our charity campaign for British Heart Foundation a successful one.
